Setting Sun

This is possibly my best photo of the project, I'm pretty excited about it.

Scrambling around on wet, seaweed covered rocks with my tripod and camera was totally worth it!

Rising Crescent

The moon rose just after sunset tonight, while the lighthouse dock made for a beautiful silhouette.

Tonight's already beautiful sunset was improved by Caleb and Hans kayaking out in the thoroughfare  to go fishing.

Panning Sunset

Of all of the sunset photos I took tonight, this non-traditional one has to be my favorite.

I love the way the colors blend together and how it looks so abstract.

Bog Flower

Tons of these beautiful flowers were sitting in this bog on out way to today's hike.

When we drove by we had to stop for some pictures.

Boom Beach Long Exposure

The waves look all smokey because this is a ten second exposure.

I used a neutral density filter to darken the sky, without the filter the photo would be completely white.

Crystal Ball Sunset

Typical Isle au Haut sunset, this one through my crystal ball that I set on the rocks of the beach.

Bike Ride Pano

Panning Trees

Took this panning shot while on a walk on North Haven Island, Maine.

We'll be here for a few days and then we're off to Isle au Haut were we'll be for two weeks.

I took this by "panning" vertically to blur the trees and grass.

Moving Clouds

The clouds were moving pretty fast today so around sunset I went out and shot some long exposures.

Post-Soccer Pano

There was this gorgeous sunset during and after soccer practice today,  I couldn't help but take a photo of it.

I was hesitant to bring my camera to practice because it looked like it was going to rain, so I had to take this one with my phone.

I edited it on my phone as well.

I'm getting pretty into "iPhonography", the editing capabilities of new apps continue to impress me.

If Phone photography is taking over the art and the industry, I figure I might as well get good at it.

Mowing

My neighbor was out there mowing the field this afternoon on my walk home from the bus.

I didn't have my camera so this one was taken with my phone.

Edited on the iPhone too.

These drops looked pretty cool on this blade of grass on my walk home today.

I snapped a shot with my phone and it turns out iPhone can take alright macro shots.

All editing done on my phone as well, in an app called Tadaa.

Noah's Birthday Celebration

My older brother, Noah, had his 19th birthday on June 8th, but he wasn't home from school yet.

He came home yesterday so tonight we celebrated with a wonderful dinner followed by homemade ice cream cake :)

Buzzing

Believe it or not, the crazy flowering plant this bee is on is a rhubarb bush!

I've never seen them flower this much, but I guess the bees like it.

Hatched

A few weeks ago my dad showed me a turkey protecting her eggs an evergreen tree nearby our house.

A few days ago she was still there sitting on the eggs, but today we checked again and they had hatched!

I had to crawl through many thick branches to get this shot but it was totally worth it.

Love the way these raindrops fell evenly on this interesting plant in our garden.

I have no idea what it's called but I love its symmetry!

Whole World in my Hand

I love using this crystal ball, it can create such cool effects. 

I obviously rotated the image 180° because in the background you can see the land above the sky.

I did this because I like to have what is in the ball be correctly oriented.

This is the beautiful view I see every time I look out the window at my house.

Sometimes I take it for granted, but I'll always appreciate the beauty.
